HSBC Bank Malta has introduced a new on-line service which allows customers to apply for a new Credit Card and a Flexicredit Loan from the convenience of their home or office by simply visiting the HSBC website www.hsbc.com.mt hours a day, 7 days a week.

Desmond Don-Paul, head of Banking Services stated: “This is another step towards HSBC’s commitment to make banking easier for our customers. This new on-line credit card and flexicredit loan applications are very easy and simple to use. We have applied secure server (SSL) technology to guarantee security and protection of data. The facility has proved to be very popular and we have had an encouraging number of new applications since its introduction. The customer is contacted within 24 hours of applying and the service is delivered swiftly.”

The introduction of this new service coincides with a new promotion on which HSBC Bank Malta is not charging any interest for six months to whoever applies for a new credit card before 11 September. This offer applies on purchase transactions only. In addition, this service coincides with the present personal credit offers (available up till 31 August), for Flexicredit loans of Lm1,000 and over.
