A man from Cospicua yesterday was accused of corrupting a 14-year-old boy, offending public morals and being indecently dressed in a public place on 28 August 2005.

The 50-year-old man, whose name cannot be published due to a court order, pleaded not guilty to corrupting a 14-year-old boy, who also happens to be his neighbour, in Kalkara at around 3.30pm last Sunday. He was accused of offending public morals and being naked or indecently dressed in public.

After hearing that the man can move to Marsa over the course of the proceedings, presiding magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera granted him bail against a Lm2,000 guarantee and put him under house arrest.

Inspector Malcolm Spiteri prosecuted while Dr Mark Sammut Cutajar appeared for the accused.
