Go Mobile Launches new roaming tariff

Malta Independent Sunday, 4 September 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Go Mobile has launched Travel & Talk, a new tariff aimed at simplifying roaming charges and making them more convenient. By means of this new tariff, customers will be taking “their everyday tariff with them abroad” when roaming with a number of international networks in most European countries as well as the Unites States, Libya and Tunisia.

When using their phone in selected countries, Travel & Talk customers can make a call that costs 10c per minute in addition to a 50 cents connection fee. This charge applies for calls made to Malta and to the country from which the customer is calling. Moreover, when receiving a call, customers will only pay 50 cents for every 10 minutes. Sending SMS while roaming on the participating networks will be charged at 15c per SMS.

“Travel & Talk has made international roaming simpler and more convenient. It also gives our customers significant savings when using their phone abroad, both when making as well as receiving calls. Customers can stay on the phone longer, in full knowledge of what they are spending,” said Michael Balzan, Senior Executive Customer Care and International Roaming.

The Travel & Talk tariff is available in 26 networks in 24 countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Libya, The Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

For the time being, Go Mobile Travel & Talk is a post-paid (contract) tariff. To activate Travel & Talk, post-paid customers can call 146 from their Go Mobile line, or visit any one of Go Mobile’s seven Customer Contact Centres spread around Malta and Gozo. Card plan users can temporarily migrate to a post-paid line to benefit from Travel & Talk.

For more information call Go Care on 146 from a Go Mobile or 79 222 146 from other networks, or else visit www.go.com.mt.
