Adriana Fenech Adami is the winner of the fourth edition of the Best Business Plan (BBP) competition, organised by JCI Malta in partnership with HSBC Bank Malta plc and KPMG Malta.

The winner was announced during an Awards Ceremony held at the HSBC premises in Marsa. The BBP competition was launched earlier this year to inspire the younger generation of budding entrepreneurs to showcase their talents. Adriana Fenech Adami received a Lm1,000 cash prize from Marco Grech, Senior Communications manager at HSBC and Tonio Zarb from KPMG Malta.

The winner’s business plan proposed a company, HaveYourSay.com.mt, aimed at delivering an innovative on-line research service. Jean-Claude Uhlenhaut won the runner-up prize and was awarded Lm250 for his creative business plan. The founder envisions providing a unique and eco-friendly transportation service to the public.

The winning business plan will be submitted as the official JCI Malta entry to the International Best Business Plan of the World Competition organised by Junior Chamber International (JCI). The winner of the overall JCI Best Business Plan of the World Competition will receive a US$5,000 cash prize award to help jumpstart the business, as well as an all expenses paid trip to the 60th JCI World Congress to be held in Vienna.

“JCI Malta is once again delighted with the response to the

Best Business Plan Competition, both in terms of the number of competitors and the quality of the plans submitted. This is a clear indication of the entrepreneurial talent that exists among Malta’s youth and that can be harnessed in our society as we restructure the economy and seek to add economic value in innovative ways,” said JCI Malta President 2005 Karl Farrugia Wismayer. On behalf of the organisers, JCI Malta thanked its corporate members HSBC Bank Malta plc and KPMG Malta for their support in this year’s competition, as well as to all the other BBP participants for their contribution.
