Bank of Valletta has donated a collection of books as well as two computers to the regional library operated by the Vittoriosa local council.

The presentation was made by Albert Hili, manager of BOV’s Cospicua branch to Vittoriosa mayor John Boxall, during a visit to the local council’s offices.

During the presentation, Mr Hili said that BOV was pleased to support the local council and assist in its educational initiatives. “The donation of books and other equipment that Bank of Valletta is making to the Vittoriosa local council is in line with the bank’s commitment to play an active role within the communities in which it operates by supporting initiatives that enhance cultural and social life,” said Mr Hili.

He added, “BOV is delighted to make this donation of books and computers to the Vittoriosa local council’s regional library. Our contribution will help enrich the library’s collection, directly benefiting all the residents who make use of this library so as to enhance their knowledge of various subjects.”

Mr Boxall thanked Bank of Valletta for the donation and said that the books and computers, which are being kept in the historic Auberge d’Ingleterre – the premises being used as a library – will help enhance the services offered by the council. “Indeed, the residents of Vittoriosa stand to benefit directly from this donation by Bank of Valletta,” said Mr Boxall.
