Mediascoop, Capital Radio 88.7FM’s management, has now officially become the station’s owner.

The agreement was signed on 29 July when Altservices Ltd, the former licence holder, passed the flame onto Mediascoop Ltd, a company that has been the station’s commercial manager since its inception, seven years ago.

Mediascoop Ltd chairman Sergio Morana said they were elated to have signed the agreement.

“The purchase of this licence will guarantee further success to our venture and will benefit both our listeners and advertisers,” he said.

The last Broadcasting Authority audience survey placed Capital Radio as the favourite independent radio station and it also registered the highest increase in listeners.
