Vodafone Launches international MMS

Malta Independent Monday, 26 September 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Vodafone Malta’s customers can now send picture messages to selected networks abroad. Through this new service, customers can send pictures and videos via Multimedia Messaging (MMS) to their family and friends abroad, in the same way as they do locally.

“MMS has become very popular with our customers. Now Vodafone is also offering the possibility of sharing photos and videos with friends and family living abroad. Mobile communication is a fantastic tool which should be used to bring people closer together and this new service will certainly help customers to stay in touch with the people they love,” said Vodafone’s consumer segment manager Maria Vella-Galea.

Each MMS sent to a foreign network will cost 25 cents, up to maximum size of 100KB. Initially, Vodafone Malta customers will be able to send MMS to networks such as Vodafone, T-Mobile, TeliaSonera, NetCom, Era, SFR and Swisscom in the following countries; Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Slovak Republic, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. More networks will be added in the coming weeks.

More information on Vodafone’s International MMS can be obtained from www.vodafone.com.mt or by contacting customer service on 247 from a Vodafone or 2148-2820 from any other number.
