maltaNET and DataStream, Malta’s leading broadband providers, are well on their way to merging into one company. Apart from having all the contractual documents in place, the integration of the two businesses is also moving at a fast pace.

In a comment, CEO Keith Fearne said: “Merging two companies is not an easy task. However, we have from day one set up a professional integration team involving key people from the two companies, and we have started rolling out the plan. “

maltaNET is the retail internet arm of the Maltacom Group, while DataStream’s main business is based on a wholesale model. “Bringing together the strengths of the two teams into one company will make us stronger, more efficient and save us on costs. Through this merger, we will be in a better position to achieve our vision of taking high speed broadband to every home. In a world where video, voice and the internet are converging into one network, we intend to continue playing a leading role in making this happen in Malta,” said Mr Fearne.

maltaNET and DataStream are members of the Maltacom Group.
