Rudi Schembri Galea has received a £10,000 Chevening Scholarship, funded by HSBC Bank Malta plc, in order to read an MSc in Accounting and Finance at the London School of Economics. The scholarship was presented to Mr Schembri Galea by the bank’s chief executive officer Shaun Wallis.
Chevening Scholarships are awarded every year by the British High Commission, following an application process managed by the British Council. Funding for these sponsorships is provided by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London and by leading private companies, such as HSBC.
“If it were not for HSBC’s generous contribution to the British Council, I would not have been able to achieve my long-held aspiration of continuing my studies at the London School of Economics. I would like to thank HSBC for supporting the Chevening scheme and helping students like me to fulfil their potential,” said Mr Schembri.
