The Malta Poets Association has been instrumental in attracting the Maltese public back to poetry, with an intensive programme of activities that have seen ever increasing attendances and interest, MPA president Alfred Massa said yesterday.In a message to mark the 30th anniversary of the association, Prof. Massa said the poetry evenings and the publication of its anthology Versi had dispensed with the idea that poetry was boring. He said the MPA had offered a forum for disillusioned and neglected poets to present their work through poetry evenings and the publication of poetry anthologies.
