Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, producer and bottler for Pepsi and Pepsi Max for the past 28 years, has won the second edition of the Best Practice Award from PepsiCo. This was announced during the Trade Marketing Workshop organised by PepsiCo. Farsons participated for the first time in this event, which this year was held in Zurich, Switzerland.

During the marketing workshop, presentations from Malta, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Albania, Holland, Belgium, Cyprus, Serbia and Montenegro, Russia and Poland on PepsiCo product promotions were carried out for each respective country. The aim of the PepsiCo Trade Marketing Workshop is for European Pepsi marketing representatives to meet and share information about the brand and the benefits of promotions.

Alison Schembri, Pepsi brand executive, presented the Pepsi Max promotion currently being run in collaboration with Pizza Hut and the latest PlayStation®Portable (PSP™), which was launched in Malta on 1 September.

“Sharing the best promotions, expertise and experiences with other PepsiCo marketing officials was a great benefit. Our Pepsi Max promotion held in conjunction with two other major international brands – Pizza Hut and Sony was immediately recognised as an excellent campaign for the Best Practice Award,” said Alison Schembri.

The PepsiCo Trade Marketing Workshop was held for the first time in 2004 in Belgium and was won by Holland.
