Convenient Billing for Vodafone’s Wi-Fi customers

Malta Independent Sunday, 23 October 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

Vodafone Wi-Fi is Vodafone’s Wireless LAN (W-LAN) service, offering access to high-speed wireless laptop Internet connection at affordable rates. This complete solution is provided through the use of the Vodafone Mobile Connect Combo Card, which has both GPRS and Wi-Fi support.

Vodafone’s Wi-Fi offers more than wireless connectivity to the Internet. The Combo Card’s easy to use dashboard interface also removes the complexities associated with traditional set-up and support. Vodafone aims to deliver total solutions to its customers and with the Wi-Fi service, customers only need to take a few simple steps to experience wireless broadband speeds within Vodafone hotspots,” said Daniela Bagnaschi, Business Segment Marketing Manager at Vodafone Malta Limited.

Vodafone also offers customers the opportunity to pre-pay for a Wi-Fi session with the possibility for selecting between a number of different session lengths and with usage charged based on the number of minutes used over a 30-day time window. Customers can also have their Wi-Fi session billed directly to their prepaid or post-paid account using SMS-based authentication. Even non-Vodafone customers can purchase a Vodafone Wi-Fi session using their credit card, with the amount billed being dependent on the number of minutes used.

Vodafone Wi-Fi service is available from the following Hot Spots; Corinthia San Gorg Hotel, Corinthia Palace Hotel, Corinthia Jerma Hotel, Corinthia Marina, Hotel Juliani, Eden Leisure Conference Arena, European School of English, the Plaza Shopping Centre, the Msida Yacht Marina, St James Hospital, Valletta Waterfront and Malta International Airport.

In Gozo, coverage is available at the Mgarr Hotel, Arkadia, Kempinski San Lawrenz Resort & Spa and Pjazza tat-Tokk. Coverage areas normally have the Vodafone Wi-Fi brochures or logo sticker placed on the location’s information desk, reception area or in public places. New Hot Spot sites will be published in the Wi-Fi section of the website, www.vodafone.com.mt.

Further information about Vodafone’s Wi-Fi service can be obtained by contacting Customer Service on 247 from a Vodafone or 2148 2820 from any other phone or by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
