The recent accidental fire that caused considerable damage to one of the halls at St Agatha School in Rabat prompted Bank of Valletta’s Rabat branch to make a donation to assist the restoration work. The donation was presented by BOV Rabat branch manager Joe Borg to St Agatha School rector Fr Gerald Bonello.

Presenting the donation, Mr Borg pointed out that the gesture demonstrated that Bank of Valletta is truly sensitive to the needs of the community in which it operates and takes an active role in supporting and encouraging its well-being.

Thanking Bank of Valletta for its generous thought, Fr Bonello said that work to restore the hall is due to commence shortly, due to the fact that the school is very popular as a venue for talent shows and other cultural and educational events.
