MEPA has recently approved Final Development Application plans for a residential apartment block and a 17,000 square metre retail centre at Tigné Point.
The apartment development is the last in the Tigné South residential scheme. It includes 59 units situated in one of the quietest parts of this car-free area, at the eastern edge of the penin-sula overlooking Fort Tigné, Valletta and the mouth of the harbour and benefiting from all the amenities that this up-market development has to offer.
These seafront apartments are planned around a private landscaped central courtyard and will include an interesting mix of one, two and three-bedroomed layouts. The apartments will be suitable for both Maltese and foreign buyers who are looking for a stylish, safe and conveniently located home as well as a secure investment.
Another application recently approved by MEPA is for the development of a multi level retail mall, including a department store, super-market, cinema complex, retail spaces and substantial underlying car parking facilities. This shopping and leisure mall is an integral element of the Tigné Point scheme and has been designed to cater for
discerning shoppers and retailers.
Its modular design, accessibility, convenient parking facilities and central location – just off the 2,500 square metre Pjazza Tigné – will make this mall a unique retail destination that will extend and enhance Sliema’s already established position as one of the leading retail centres on the island.
