Lombard Bank is acting as a sponsor to CHOGM and is marking the event by the issue of a limited number of silver ingots.

The bank has also commissioned a further three ingots in solid gold – one to be presented to HM Queen Elizabeth ll, the second for the bank’s collection and the third to be donated to The Malta Community Chest Fund, to be offered for sale to the public.

Diamonds International Ltd, who are acknowledged as having significant experience in the promotion and distribution of precious items, are being entrusted with the task of maximising the potential sale of this gold ingot. All the proceeds from the sale will go to The Malta Community Chest Fund.

The gold ingot, bearing serial No.3, was presented by Lombard Bank chief executive officer Joseph Said to President Edward Fenech Adami, who received it on behalf of The Malta Community Chest Fund.
