Maltacom informs clients that an application form for the Calling Line Identification service is now available on line. Customers can also request the service by calling the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system on 2124 0699. In both instances the service will be available immediately on the customer’s telephone line. All the customer has to do is install the display unit or telephone set to see the number calling before answering a telephone call.

Activating / Deactivating the Calling Line Identification service through IVR

The customer calls 2124 0699 from the same telephone line on which the service is required.

When a customer dials the above telephone number the system will prompt the customer to Press 1 to activate CLI, or

Press 2 to deactivate CLI.

If a customer chooses to Press 3 he/she will be routed to the operator for assistance.

Activating / Deactivating the Calling Line Identification service through the Maltacom portal

Alternatively, customers can activate / deactivate the CLI service through the Maltacom portal (www.maltacom.com) by clicking on “Calling Line Identification” or through the web4me service if the customer is a web4me registered customer. The service will be activated / deactivated instantly.

Customers can also apply on-line for all Maltacom Star Services through the Maltacom portal or the web4me service by clicking on “Star Services”. Star Services include facilities such as Call Waiting, that alerts you to another incoming call while you are on the line, Call Transfer services which allow you to automatically transfer unanswered or busy calls to another line, Hot Line which enables you to programme your telephone line to connect you to a frequently called telephone number without dialling, Conference Calling which allows you to speak to two people simultaneously, and more.
