HSBC Offers financial protection for critical illness

Malta Independent Sunday, 20 November 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

HSBC Life Assurance recently announced the launch of the Critical Illness benefit which is available with any of its regular premium plans.

Critical Illness insurance pays out a lump sum following the diagnosis of certain serious medical conditions namely heart attack, coronary bypass, stroke, life threatening cancer, kidney failure, major organ transplant, paralysis, blindness, severe burns and coma. This benefit is available to anyone between the age of 19 and 59, and may not be available for certain jobs.

HSBC’s advertising campaign for this product depicts two identical pictures of a parent with children. This concept has been chosen to illustrate the financial situation and therefore the ensuing lifestyle of a parent who has, unfortunately, contracted a critical illness.

An individual’s life may not need to change, at least from a financial point of view, from before the illness to after the illness if illness insurance is in place; this can be of great benefit to families at an otherwise difficult time.

For further information about this benefit, customers can call at any HSBC Bank Malta branch or customer service on 2380 2380.
