Malta Independent Wednesday, 7 December 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

HSBC will be extending the secondment of Philip Borg to the Kerygma Movement for a further three years.

In 2002, Mr Borg became the first senior manager from HSBC to be seconded by the bank to an NGO. Prior to his secondment, Mr Borg occupied the post of Human Resources Manager on Resourcing and Employee Relations at HSBC, having previously worked in several branches and head office departments at various levels and areas.

Kerygma is a lay Dominican movement that aims to create a just society based on faith, hope and love, believing that prayer and study, as well as cultural, voluntary, and sporting activities, make up the cornerstones of life. The organisation is best known for organising a series of annual volleyball marathons, which in the past have raised hundreds of thousands of liri for various charitable organisations.
