Nestlé is the winner of the Best Food Company in Europe award in Global Finance’s eighth annual survey of the world’s best companies.

The awards seek to award and recognise the best performing global leaders and the top regional players around the world.

Global Finance selects the best global companies in 29 sectors, as well as regional winners in various industries, on the basis of a mix of objective and subjective criteria. These criteria include revenue and profit growth, market capitalisation and share price, corporate responsibility, product innovation, global expansion and accountability.

Global Finance’s eighth annual survey has shown that most of the world’s top companies are having another good year and for many of them, revenues and profits have been setting new records.

Commenting on this prestigious award, Nestlé Malta managing director Giorgio Mondoví said: “This recognition is a vote of confidence for Nestlé’s overall strategy, its commitment to quality and its products.”
