Valletta Fund Management has just announced the launch of two institutional classes of shares in the La Valette Euro Money Fund and the La Valette Maltese Lira Money Fund.
These new classes of shares are an investment opportunity aimed at companies, private investors, insurance companies, public sector investor, local authorities and other institutional investors seeking to make the best possible use of their cash and currency balances.
Commenting on the launch of these new classes of shares, Kenneth Farrugia, general manager of Valletta Fund Management Limited stated, “For the first time in Malta, these institutional classes of shares are being introduced to complement Valletta Fund Management’s existing range of conservative funds. The La Valette Euro Money Fund and the La Valette Maltese Lira Money Fund have been designed to provide investors with a secure, low cost, highly liquid and very flexible investment alternative to cash balances.” Mr Farrugia added, “Due to the challenging economic conditions of recent years, characterised by low interest rates, institutional investors are increasingly demanding active management of their cash balances. As a result, cash is now becoming recognized as a distinctive asset class in its own right, deserving the same specialist focus as bonds, equities and property.”
Institutional investors can participate in these institutional classes of shares in the La Valette Maltese Lira Money Fund and the La Valette Euro Money Fund, from Lm50,000 and Lm125,000 respectively. There are no entry or exit fees associated with these share classes. The Fund will also benefit from the investment management expertise of Insight Investment’s Cash Management’s Team.
Investors who wish to optimise their short-term cash position, can call Valletta Fund Management on 80072344 or visit any branch of Bank of Valletta in Malta or Gozo or any licensed financial intermediary.
