For the second year in a row, Ta’ Marija was honoured with the Best Maltese Food Restaurant award by The Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants, sponsored by the Tourism Ministry. In addition, the restaurant was also awarded the Best Maltese Wine List award for 2006.

Proprietors, Ben and Maria Muscat, along with their son Ben Jr and daughter Lara, decided to mark this occasion by holding a dinner to thank their loyal clientele. Guests were spoilt with a wonderful array of Maltese dishes and were treated to a night of traditional Maltese music and dancing.

Ta’ Marija Restaurant opened its doors in Mosta 40 years ago, at the time known as Whisper Nightclub. Since then, under the management of the Muscat family, Ta’ Marija has prospered and become one of the most reputable restaurants on the island, popular with the locals and tourists alike. For a number of years, the restaurant has strongly established itself as the foremost exponent of original and authentic Maltese cuisine, set in a welcoming traditional ambience and complimented with daily entertainment, including traditional Maltese folk dancing and singing.
