The restoration of the King George V memorial in Floriana was completed, after the monument sustained some damage in June last year.
The restoration sector within the Resources and Infrastructure Ministry completed the work on the monument that was built in the year between 1937 and 1938.
The work began in October and this included changing the vases that had fallen.
The monument was also cleaned by workers within the restoration sector in collaboration with the Floriana local council. The council paid for part of the workers’ salary.
The Valletta Rehabilitation Project provided the material needed.
