Victoria Hotel Scores high on guest Questionnaire

Malta Independent Wednesday, 15 February 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Foreign guests have lavished praise on the kitchen and housekeeping departments at the Victoria Hotel in a new questionnaire introduced few months ago.

The revamped guest questionnaire is aimed mostly at improving further the hotel’s services and sensitising itself to the needs of the Victoria’s residents, which is ultimately their main company goal and philosophy today.

The Victoria Hotel’s new questionnaire is printed in four languages, English, Italian, French and German and, following the positive feedback from the hotel guests, there is now a possibility of also including Spanish.

In the few months since its introduction the guest response has been excellent, both in terms of ratings as well as constructiveness. Through various procedures introduced, it resulted that between the 1 September and 30 October, over a 1,000 questionnaires were returned.

The questionnaires, containing the guests’ details, included some very positive comments. The largest number of comments regarded the excellent standard and service of the food department. The guests also had a good word for the housekeeping section, which is considered efficient and friendly. This is reflected in the high score the department achieved during 2005, which landed the housekeeping team the Guest Satisfaction Award for Winter 2005.

Commenting about this new questionnaire general manager at The Victoria, Claire Xuereb said that “The questionnaire gives us direction and helps us progress. To-date most of the comments were positive and even offered some original suggestions. We appreciate the guests’ response which, though not always practical to implement, is interesting and sometimes even entertaining.”
