These days schools and amateur dramatic companies face ever-rising costs when they put their creativity and talents to work. Having been deeply involved with the local performance arts scene for many years, NEXOS Lighting has decided to embark on a scheme to help local artists and performers make their dream come true.

As part of its ongoing commitment to the performance arts, it is launching the NEXOS Financial Award Scheme to help students and local amateur dramatic societies avail themselves of the best possible equipment for their creative endeavours.

The NEXOS Financial Award Scheme is a grant scheme redeemable against NEXOS services and is available to schools and amateur dramatic groups.

Every year it will offer 20 awards in each of three categories. These awards will enable the recipients to claim 70 per cent of the cost of their lighting budget.

The three categories are as follows:

• Category One: Primary/Junior Schools –Private/Church and Government

• Category Two: Amateur Dramatics Organisations

• Category Three: Secondary schools and colleges

The awards shall be awarded on the basis of merit by a board of independent adjudicators.
