HSBC would like to remind its customers that it never requests any confidential account information via email.
HSBC regularly takes the precaution of advising its customers about this fact in order to avoid the phenomenon of “phishing”. This is a practice whereby fraudulent emails are sent out, in the name of the company or bank, asking customers for certain confidential information such as online banking details or credit card numbers.
HSBC would like to emphasise the fact that it is totally committed to protecting customer confidentiality and any requests for information from customers are only made through direct personal contact from HSBC.
Customers who would like further information can contact HSBC on 2380 2380.
