The Barceló Riviera Resort & Spa kitchen team, headed by executive chef Paul Borg, participated in the Malta Kulinarja competitions held earlier this month.
The Riviera team achieved positive results in 10 categories winning one gold medal, one silver, six bronze and three merits in other categories.
Steve Agius won the gold medal for the “Senior Lamb dish”, silver for the “Four plated Restaurant main course” and a merit for the “Senior Fish Dish”.
The other participants to win were Paul Borg, Clifford Fenech, Mark Muscat, Carl Zahra, Kurt Saliba, Luke Borg, Gordon Camilleri and Damien Curmi.
