Bank of Valletta’s Sports and Social Club recently organised such an activity for BOV employees as part of a Team Building Exercise.

The departure point was at the Luxol car park in St Andrews and from there the participants drove to Golden Bay where the team building activities were held.

George Portanier president, and Edward Grech, treasurer, of the BOV Sports and Social Club, then presented prizes to the respective winners. Mario Farrugia Zejtun Branch, Karen Scerri, Finance Department and John Galea B’Kara Branch collected the prizes on behalf of their teams.

Following the event, all employees were hosted to a pasta lunch at the Coastline Hotel in Qawra.

In a short speech during the event, Mr Portanier said “These events are not only a means of entertainment from daily working routine but more importantly, a means to foster team spirit and leadership skills, two attributes that are very much needed by employees at their place of work.”

He continued: “The teamwork and collaboration witnessed during the event were very positive and helped all employees appreciate the importance of working and enjoying themselves together.”
