XFM listeners were asked to send an SMS to Carlo to compete for a night in a therapeutic spa bedroom at the Fortina Spa Resort, complete with a romantic dinner, breakfast and lunch the next day. Carlo then randomly began phoning those who had participated and the first three listeners to answer their phones singing the ultra romantic hit You’re Beautiful by James Blunt made it through to the final.

All three finalists came to the studio to meet with Carlo on the Big Breakfast and were asked a common question related to St Valentine. The finalist with the closest or correct answer was to be the winner. That was Vanessa Deguara.

However, Carlo surprised the other two finalists live on air, when he told them that they had also won a romantic night’s stay at the Fortina Spa Resort. The winners were: Vanessa Deguara, Neville Mangion and Marouska Desira.
