A Hamrun man was yesterday given a suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of assault.
52-year-old Anthony Magro was found guilty of assaulting and slightly injuring Carmel Muscat, a public official, on 30 December 2005 in Hamrun at 10.45am. The court, presided over by magistrate Saviour Demicoli, fined the accused Lm100 and issued an 18-month jail term suspended for three years. Police inspector Mario Bonello prosecuted.
