Building on the success of past editions of the Summer Arts Festival, the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts is calling for proposals of artistic and cultural initiatives to be considered for Festival Malta 2006. The festival will take place in July and August 2006.

“This year we would like to present a dynamic mix of live performances. Both Maltese and foreign artists and companies are invited to participate,” said Dr Paul V. Mifsud, executive director of the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts. “Festival Malta is an ideal platform for both established and aspiring performers and artists to present their work in one of Malta’s historic outdoor venues.”

Proposals are expected to include company and/or artists portfolios, business plan, summaries of contemplated event/s, CVs of participants and other relevant documents.

Application forms are available and can be collected from the reception desk at the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, telephone 2123 2515. Alternatively, application forms can be downloaded from www.maltaculture.com.

Proposals are to be submitted by hand at 230, Republic Street, Valletta, by not later than 20 March against a non-refundable fee of Lm10.
