Police efforts stopped two attempted robberies when they caught young men red handed trying to break into cars.

In the early hours of last Saturday, a police patrol caught a young man trying to break into a car in Valley Road, Iklin.

The young man was immediately arrested.

Another would-be robber was apprehended on Saturday night trying to break into a car in Ross street, St Julian’s.

The perpetrator tried to escape but the police gave chase and he was arrested soon after. Investigations are ongoing.
