Atturi Salesjani’s next production is a three-act comedy called Bukkett Fjuri Ghal Matilde, a comedy written by John Schembri.
The story takes place in the office of Notary Krispin. Since the death of his beloved wife, his sister Matilde moved in with him with the excuse of helping him with the daily chores. But unfortunately Matilde only causes trouble for him and his friends, Salvu, Toni and Pawlu.
Salvu, his long time friend, decides to take action and get rid of Matilde once and for all. Unfortunately his past attempts all resulted in a disastrously, so when Spiru, a soft-spoken quiet man, comes along and shows great interest in Matilde, Salvu sees a golden opportunity to activate his plan.
Taking part are, Manwel Bonavia, Margaret Buhagiar, John Schembri, Josette Camilleri, Eric Cachia, Edwina Farrugia, Alfred Borg, David Bonnici and Maryrose Bonnici. The play is directed by Tonio Vassallo.
The play will be staged at the Salesian Theatre in Howard Street, Sliema on Saturday 25 March at 7.30pm and on Sunday 26 March at 6.30pm.
