KPMG Appoints a new partner

KPMG Malta, the local practice of the global professional services firm has announced the appointment of a new partner. Juanita Bencini has joined the partnership as a partner within the Advisory Services function with responsibility for the firm's Regulatory and Compliance advisory service line. Ms. Bencini's team services a broad portfolio of financial services clients.

Ms Bencini, who holds a degree in Accountancy and a Masters in Financial Services from the University of Malta, joined KPMG in 2000 from the Malta Stock Exchange with a brief to further develop the firm's financial services line of business. She represents the local practice at several KPMG regional and international regulatory and financial services fora.

Ms Bencini is active on several Committees of the Malta Institute of Accountants, having also been the assistant editor and editor of the journal issued by the MIA for six years from 1999 to 2005. She has lectured and written articles on various topics related to financial services.
