An impressively high turnout of candidates was registered at last Saturday’s annual McDonald’s Recruitment Drive. The event was held at the Radisson SAS Baypoint Hotel in St Julian’s and kicked off at 8am.

Over 700 sixth formers, University students and other job-hunters, from all over the island, turned out for the opportunity to be interviewed for a job with the world’s leading food service team. McDonald’s will be hiring over 250 new crew members from this event, which will take McDonald’s Malta’s total staff complement to over 750 employees and make McDonald’s the largest quick-service restaurant employer on the island.

It is initiatives like this that reinforce McDonald’s core philosophy of giving back to the local community, hence building a positive influence on the neighbourhood, its people and the environment in which the company operates. McDonald’s aspires to be the best employer in each community it serves around the world.

Over the next few weeks, these new crew members will be taking up their positions in the eight McDonald’s restaurants scattered across the Maltese Islands. They will come to form a key part of a food service team that is responsible for serving 14,000 customers daily.
