Gasan Enterprises Ltd, importers of Mazda in Malta, have launched two new important models to the motoring public. These are the Mazda5, a seven-seater family car, and the latest version of its iconic roadster, the MX-5.

The Mazda5 is an all-new seven-seater MPV1 delivering incredible exterior functionality and a unique versatile interior seating and storage concept. The second and third row seats are split and can be folded down flat to create more luggage space.

Intelligently designed to make life easier, the Mazda5 is equipped with rear sliding doors that facilitate entry and exit from the vehicle, even in very tight parking spaces. Standard equipment includes ABS2 with EBD and EBA, air conditioning, front, side and curtain airbags, power mirrors, power windows, remote central locking and a CD player, among many other features.

Available with a 1.8 petrol engine and a 2.0 turbo common rail diesel engine with diesel particulate filter, the Mazda5 starts from Lm10,990.

Another new Mazda model launched by Gasan Enterprises Ltd is the iconic MX-5. With its stiff chassis, precise steering and double-wishbone suspension, the Mazda MX-5 delivers advanced driving dynamics and incredible handling – characteristics that have made the MX-5 the true roadster over the years.

Mazda’s engineers have scrutinised every detail of the car in order to dramatically lower the MX-5’s overall weight, despite it being slightly larger and wider than its predecessor. The result is an impressive power-to-weight ratio, made even more effective through a combination of front engine and rear wheel drive that gives a perfect 50:50 weight distribution.
