European Enterprise Awards Launched

The Competitiveness and Communications Ministry has launched the national stage of the selection of nominees for the European Enterprise Awards.

Submissions concerning initiatives undertaken in the last two years may be made in following five categories:

•Entrepreneurial Trailblazer Award: this recognises actions that promote a business culture and mindset;

•Enterprise Support Award: this recognises innovative policies that promote enterprise and attract investment;

•Red Tape Reduction Award: this recognises measures to simplify administrative procedures faced by businesses, and start-ups in particular;

•Investment in People Award: this recognises initiatives to improve education and training in entrepreneurship;

•Responsible Entrepreneur-ship Award: this recognises initiatives in favour of corporate social responsibility and sustainable business practices.

The best two submissions will be nominated to represent Malta in the European Stage of the European Enterprise Awards.

Local authorities (including local councils) and public private partnerships are invited to submit their applications outlining the initiatives to be considered for this award.

Applications will be received at the Commerce Division, Lascaris, Valletta by 31 May, between 8am and 12.30pm, and 2pm and 4pm, addressed to: Godwin Warr, Director General (Commerce), chairman, Selection Board, European Enterprise Awards.
