Fr Joseph Mizzi is the new director of the Cana Movement.

He takes over from Fr Louis Camilleri, who has been director of the movement since 1977.

Fr Mizzi, 35, studied at the seminary and at the University of Malta. He was ordained in 1997 and appointed assistant director of the Cana Movement after graduating. The following year he went to Rome where he obtained a doctorate in theology.

On his return, he continued working with the Cana Movement. He is a member of the Diocesan Commission for the Family and National Parish Priest for Christian families.

He is the author of two books, Catholic and Muslim Marriages and “Aghtuhom intom x’jieklu”.
