Over 150 Hewlett-Packard (HP) Services project managers attended the organisation’s prestigious annual development programme within the EMEA region: the HP Services Project Management University (PMU) in Athens, Greece.

This week of intensive learning and shared experience provided HP Services project managers with training on industry-standard and company-specific project management practices.

It delivered key business messages related to project management, and created opportunities for the assembled project managers to network. Additionally, it encouraged professional certification.

“Ours is one of the world’s strongest communities of project managers,” said Alastair Strang, EMEA Director, Engagement Programme Management Office, HP. “The HP Services Project Management University is our premier development event, combining advanced training, action learning and best-practice sharing.”

HP Services recognises that good project managers are the major differentiator in integration projects. HP Services is therefore highly committed to the professional development of IT project managers as a way of delivering service excellence to customers and raising the industry standard. The organisation encourages PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (over 3,000 HP Services project managers have achieved this most prestigious accreditation to date) and actively supports the PMI.
