A workshop on Working Therapeutically with OCD Clients, organised by CPD (Malta), will be held on 2, 3 and 4 June at the Victoria Hotel, Sliema. The guest speaker will be Prof. Paul Salkovskis from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College and Maudsley Hospital, London.
The workshop aims to illustrate the nature of new intensive treatment for OCD clients. This treatment consists of 12 to 18 hours of therapy delivered over five days. This innovative style of delivery has promising implications for client well-being, use of clinician time, and unit waiting times.
This workshop will offer clinical training for OCD. In addition it will explore the advantages and disadvantages of delivering OCD treatment in the “standard” and intensive formats.
The workshop is aimed at professionals in the field of psychology, psychiatry, medicine, counselling, psychotherapy, social worker and related mental health professions. It covers 16 CPD hours.
