The first edition of the 10KM L-Istrina Palace Run was successfully held, bringing together nearly 800 participants who ran from Verdala Palace to San Anton Palace, in a new initiative in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

In her opening remarks before the start of the run, President Myriam Spiteri Debono expressed her satisfaction with the turnout for the event and thanked all participants for their gesture, which she said will continue to support the Malta Community Chest Fund in being there for all those in need.

The 10KM L-Istrina Palace Run was the idea of Major Richard Vassallo, with the support of Joseph Micallef and sponsors Eurosport and the Fund for Social Causes.

The next edition of the 10KM L-Istrina Palace Run will take place on 14 June 2026.
