Pink Floyd fans can look forward to a concert by Roger Waters on 10 July at Luxol Grounds in St Andrews.

Although the tickets will be available on Monday, many people have already requested VIP tickets, Anton Attard from NnG Promotions said yesterday.

Special VIP tickets for the two front rows cost Lm90 each and are available from Sandro Azzopardi Jewellers.

Special VIP ticket holders will also receive a block ticket worth Lm30 for the Jazz Festival. Normal VIP tickets are worth Lm35 and include a one-night ticket to the Jazz Festival.

Normal tickets cost Lm18 but those who buy them at the Sting concert next week can purchase them for Lm15.

Christoph Law from Intercontinental Malta explained that key clients from all over Europe are being invited to watch the Roger Waters concert.

The Roger Waters concert will utilise elaborate large-scale video projections, theatrical staging, and an array of special effects delivered via a state-of-the-art 360° quadraphonic sound system immersing the audience in a three-dimensional world.

The stage will consist of two sets. Set one will be a newly-shaped version of Waters’ highly-successful In The Flesh repertoire with a comprehensive overview of Waters’ music including early Pink Floyd material; classic compositions from the masterpiece The Wall; tracks from Animals, Wish You Were Here, and The Final Cut; and songs from Waters’ solo: Amused To Death and The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking.

The second set will consist of Roger Waters and full band performing The Dark Side Of The Moon from start to finish.
