Malta Shipyards’ employees yesterday afternoon staged a short protest outside their workplace claiming they were being pressured at work.
The group of workers stopped work but were convinced to return back to their duties after officials from the General Workers’ Union arrived on the scene to speak to them.
It is not known exactly what the workers were complaining about and no information was given to the media. When contacted, GWU secretary Charles Agius would not give any details to The Malta Independent, saying that he was in a meeting.
