The San Gejtanu Band Club of Hamrun is celebrating its centenary this year.

The club will be holding two successive exhibitions in its premises next week and the following, centred naturally on the patron saint.

The church celebrations will be held on 17 June with the participation of two priests from the Theatine Order, founded by Saint Gaetan. The band will be holding a musico-literary soiree in the parish church on 14 June.

The week starting Monday 19 June will see band marches every day, with the participation of the other Hamrun bands, culminating in the traditional mid-day band march the band usually holds on the feast day, on Sunday 25. On Saturday 24 the band will hold a concert in the Hamrun high street.
