A man was injured after he was involved in a traffic accident in Mistra Valley, on the outskirts of Xemxija, when the pick-up van he was driving fell off a height of around two storeys early yesterday morning.

Members of the Civil Protection Department were called to the scene to help the man out of the vehicle and to remove the van from the valley.

The man was taken to St Luke’s Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. A passenger in the vehicle at the time of the accident did not suffer any injuries.

Further investigations are underway.
