After the successful launch in Vienna of the CD Mediterranean Melodies, featuring Maltese soprano Lydia Caruana and the renowned Austrian celebrity pianist Paul Gulda, Malta International Airport launched the CD in Malta last week.

The album includes works by Manuel de Falla, Maltese composer Charles Camilleri, Gioacchino Rossini, Maurice Ravel and Vincenzo Bellini.

The CD was recorded in Malta last February at Temple Studios with the engineering and mastering guidance of David Vella and Daniel Talma. The photography and design of the CD were entrusted to Daniel Cilia and Imago Photographics. The album was produced with the prestigious Austrian label Gramola Vienna, leading producers and distributors of classical music particularly in Austria and in neighbouring countries. MIA is the executive producer of the CD with the support of the Malta Tourism Authority and Bawag PSK Bank.

Mediterranean Melodies is distributed locally by Exotique Ltd and is available for sale from all leading outlets in Malta. Lydia Caruana will be at the Exotique outlet in Sliema on Friday from 6pm onwards to sign the CDs.
