A 61-year-old man from Mqabba has suffered serious injuries after falling off a ladder in Lija.

The man fell from around a storey high at around 10am in Triq Santa Mansweta, Lija. The ladder he was on was in a residential yard within the town.

He was certified to have sustained serious injuries after a medical team was called to provide assistance and escort him to Mater Dei Hospital via an ambulance.

The police have stated that investigations have been opened in conjunction with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA).
