Preserving the tradition of recent years, Tal-Ghazzelin beach at St Paul’s Bay will once again be the venue for varied and cultural activities this summer, which will start with a 30-strong Scottish youth ensemble performing next Friday.
The Stirling High School Music Group from Scotland consists of students aged 14-17. Many of its members have been performing throughout their school life and have taken part in various concerts abroad, twice in Malta.
The Stirling concerts consist of a variety of groups and diverse styles, and this year they have added a small Samba band and a trio of pipers. The vocal group is made up of 18 girls singing well-known contemporary songs.
A folk group, including four Scottish fiddlers playing traditional Scottish music will present traditional dances while A Jazz group will perform Swing favourites such as Satin Doll and Sing Sing Sing. This beach concert with a difference at Tal-Ghazzelin esplanade, St Paul’s Bay starts at 8.45pm on Friday. A delightful break from football.
