Ten young jobseekers, aged 16 to 24, from the Cottonera region, were presented with their certificates after having returned from a three-week training experience with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
This was part of a project aimed to train youths who want to pursue a career related to the television and film industry. The three-week training experience was an opportunity for the trainees to acquire knowledge and practical experience in the industry. The programme also focused on helping participants to establish self-awareness and self-esteem.
Before this three-week training period, the participants went through a training process which gave them the basic knowledge of lighting safety, television, pre-production, post-production and other technical aspects of television and film production.
This project was made possible through funds from the Leonardo da Vinci Programme of the European Union.
