The 60-hour Broadcasting Marathon Ohloq Tbissima will be held for the fourth consecutive year next month.
The marathon is organised by CAM Productions International, and will be broadcast live on Melita Cable, with various transmissions on NET TV, Super 1 and Education 22. It will also be streamed live on the internet via www.di-ve.com, enabling viewers to donate online.
The marathon will be held at St Joseph Home, St Venera and will run from noon on Friday, 14 July until midnight on Sunday, 16 July. Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, together with Opposition Leader Alfred Sant, will participate in the opening.
The aim of the marathon is to collect funds to finance the various projects being undertaken by the Missionary Society of St Paul (MSSP) in Malta, Pakistan, Peru and The Philippines. This year’s main focus will be the Society’s missionary work in The Philippines, and exclusive footage taken by the Director Fr Louis Mallia MSSP will be aired.
The 60 hours are packed with discussions, prayer and entertainment for the young and old, and the participation of various local artists, singers and personalities.
