Labour MP Silvio Parnis yesterday filed for libel against Nationalist newspaper il-Mument.

Mr Parnis found objection to the article which appeared in the 25 June edition of the newspaper entitled “Cases of inheritance and purchasing of property brought to the attention of the MLP administration in relation to Silvio Parnis”.

Mr Parnis filed the case against editor Victor Camilleri, saying that the article was defamatory and libellous, intentioned to tarnish his good name.

He requested the court to order the defendants to pay a maximum of Lm5,000 in compensation.
